It's good to get on a plane, get out of the city for a bit and shoot a country wedding. Everyone loves a wedding on a beautiful old estate with barns and a vineyard - and this was no exception.

It was an early start for me as I was flying down from Sydney to Melbourne on the day of the wedding. Then jumping in a hire car and driving to the Yarra Valley outside of Melbourne.

It was the last days of summer and Melbourne  turned on a perfect late summer day.

I dropped in to pick up the key at the motel I was staying then headed off to start shooting.

Bride and groom were both getting ready in different residences in the small town close to the venue. So after shooting all the preparation I was back in the car to drive to the wedding venue, Stones of the Yarra Valley. It's moments like these you really appreciate a GPS.

Perfect weather and light for the whole afternoon of shooting the outdoor ceremony and location.

A small and intimate wedding where all of the guests and the bride and groom (and me) had flown down from Sydney. Early next morning I was back on the road on my way back to the airport and on the plane home to Sydney.
